This unique experience allows visitors to be part of the harvest team of of Quinta do Boição in the Bucelas subregion of Lisbon. You will be attending all the processes of grape harvesting, from picking the grapes to foot treading, including a winery tour and visit to the barrel room, as well as a workshop demonstration to learn about the different stages of winemaking for white, red and rosé wines with a tasting of the must&grape juice. Finally you will finish with a lunch accompanied by four of the estate's premium wines from Caves Velhas.
Programme:
10:00 -10:30 Welcome drink (wine, cheese, seasonal fruit) and explanation of the programme
10:30-11:15 picking grapes
11:15-11:30 travelling to the winery
11:30-12:30 visit of the winery and grape foot treading
12:30-13:0 workshop on the stages of wine production and grape juice/must tasting (natural)
13:00-15:00 harmonised lunch with the winery's 4 premium wines at Caves Velhas (lunch includes starters, typical portuguese codfish dish, salad, homemade cake, coffee)
You will also receive a straw hat to protect you from the sunshine!
