Discover the vibrant harmony of Adega Belém's red and white wines, crafted from grapes grown on both sides of the Tejo River. Many of the white wines undergo extended skin contact, while the reds age in neutral French oak barrels. Spontaneous fermentation and minimal intervention winemaking amplify the varietal character, enhancing the fruit and imparting a creamy texture. Each sip is a unique sensory experience, revealing the passion and dedication behind every bottle from Adega Belém.
This visit is special in that you will have the winemakers Catarina or David explaining and able to give you great insight into the production of their wines and what their intentions and objectives are when making these minimal intervention wines. The visit will include a tasting of 5 wines and delicious artisan tapas (Iberian pork chorizo, artisan cheese, fresh sourdough bread).
Note: This visit is only available on Fridays 16h30-18h30 & Saturdays, 11h00-13h00. The language chosen will be the one spoken by the majority of the group in Portuguese or English but is usually only offered in English. Children up to 16 years are free & from 16 years old pay the full adult price. Vegetarian options on demand.
